Belly Dance Workout

Belly dance is creative, uplifting and inspiring––and it builds core strength
and flexibility.

Drawing on 18 years of belly dance teaching experience and
two decades of professional performance to live music, Elena Villa shares
the foundation movements of raks al-sharqi (“belly dance”) through a
“music first” approach that puts the rhythms and instruments of Middle
Eastern music directly into the dancer’s body.

Students will enjoy refining posture, poise, coordination, and muscle memory, while gaining a basic
knowledge of rhythms and how to express the music using isolations and
short step combinations to classic belly dance songs.
