Flamenco is a percussive dance from the south of Spain known for it’s fiery energy and proud posture. Elena Villa shares her many years of studying, performing and teaching flamenco in a fun, supportive and focused learning environment.
This class invites students to explore the art of flamenco and its compelling rhythms/forms (palos) through clearly explained technique and movement drills, including posture, arms & hands, basic footwork, and step combinations that build coordination and connection to the music. The class includes informational handouts.
